International Programs at SSCC
A well-staffed International Office provides comprehensive services for international students, which include airport pickup, housing assistance, and counseling on academic, vocational and personal matters. Study English at SSCC:
Enhance your everyday English in our Intensive English Program (IEP). With introductory, intermediate and advanced levels, small class size and friendly instructors, we help you prepare for entry into the American college or university. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!STEP 1: Introductory Level – For students with little to no English skills
This level introduces English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
STEP 2: Intermediate Level – College Bridge
This level bridges students into the college classroom with a selection of college level classes while continuing to teach intermediate reading, writing and pronunciation.
STEP 3: Advanced Level – Designed for the student ready to enter college or university
This level enhances college preparation through college level classes, advanced reading and writing and English language internship.
Students who choose to study at SSCC after graduating from the Intensive English Program do not have to take a test to enter South Seattle Community College (No TOEFL required)!!
Academic Programs at SSCC
Choose an academic program to suit your future goals!- Associate of Arts or Science (A.A./A.S. university transfer) - a two-year university transfer program that requires 90 college level credits. Choose from 30+ programs.
- Associate of Applied Arts & Science (A.A.S.-Non-transfer) - a two-year professional technical program that requires 90 college level credits. Choose from 30+ programs.
- 1-year Certificate programs - about a year or less short-term professional technical training programs. Choose from 8 different programs.
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Hospitality Management - a four-year bachelor's degree which will prepare students in hotel, restaurant, and cruise line management.
Summer Study in Seattle
Spend your summer vacation at the Summer Institute: American Life and Culture program. Choose from a 2-week or 3-week session for approximately $600/week.
