Unique Opportunities

  • Move from the IEP into UNL's undergraduate degree programs without the TOEFL. Enter Most Undergraduate UNL degree programs by making a score of 77 on the English Placement Exam (UNL's English exam)
  • English Placement Exam given in the IEP every eight weeks
  • Conditional Admissions available, to be Conditionally Admitted and complete your English studies on campus

Complete English Program

  • Intensive English language study, 26+ hours per week in class
  • Five sessions per year (begin in August, October, January, March, and May)
    IEP Includes five classes per day:

    1. Usage/Grammar,
    2. Listening Comprehension,
    3. Reading Comprehension,
    4. Speaking/Pronunciation,
    5. Writing

  • IEP Computer/Language Lab:
    Two IEP labs: a modern computer lab and a computerized language lab
  • Directed Lab, 1 class per week
  • Self-Directed Work in Lab, optional, open five days per week
  • Multi levels, Beginning through Advanced
    Basic, Intermediate,and Advanced levels
  • Summer Session (late May to mid-July)
  • Summer Mini Session (mid-July to mid-August)
    Four hours per day, Four days per week
