One of the largest independent colleges of art in the United States, SVA currently enrolls approximately 3,850 students in 11 undergraduate and 12 graduate degree programs.

Accreditation
School of Visual Arts is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. SVA is also an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), and is a member of the International Association of Independent Schools for Art and Design (AIAS) and the National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA).Culture, Graphic Design and Fine Arts in New York Summer Program
This three-week summer program offers international college (post-secondary school) students the opportunity to develop their creative abilities in various studio disciplines while experiencing American culture by living and studying in New York City. Courses that combine studio work and English as a Second Language (ESL) study are also offered for students who wish to improve their proficiency in the English language. All studio course instructors are professionals in their respective fields currently working in New York City.
In addition, the program includes a range of organized activities available at no additional cost. Previous activities include visits to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and Metropolitan museum, Broadway musicals and plays, movie nights, walking tours, exploring Times Square and Central Park, etc.
Students may choose one studio course offered in this program, and will be awarded 2 studio credits for successful completion of the course.
